Tinubu's Government Stealing from Nigerians through Unaccounted Budgets- IMF

The IMF said 8.8 Trillion Naira is hidden in the 2025 budget.

Christian Ebeke, IMF resident rep, told business executives in Lagos that about 2% of GDP, roughly N8.83 trillion, was spent by the Federal Government but never showed up in official budget documents. Spent, on real projects, just kept off the books.

That is arguably worse than theft. Theft is a crime you can prosecute. This is a government building an entire second budget that Nigerians never voted on, that the National Assembly never approved, that the Auditor General never audited. A shadow fiscal architecture running parallel to the one you’re told to trust.

This revelation is one of many that have rocked the Tinubu administration.
